Tinker
President Barack Obama don't care what happens in the Middle
East, Europe or the Far East and any other place outside this country for
that matter. He went to a fund raiser and played golf after receiving the
latest violent explosive reports from Iraq. So even if the news from those
faraway places are horrible President Obama just does his TV Show. And that
about all that we the American people are going to get from him for another two
years.
He really does vote “present’ just like he did back in Illinois
State legislature.
Read it and weep because like you I dismissed that early
news of him in the Illinois legislatures of how he politically learn the craft to
game the system. And that was in the early part of his Barack Obama's political
career, and not a real indicator of who he really is.
I was wrong, he really does vote present if he is not voting
for some liberal cause that don’t work, and no one else likes?

Correction Appended
In 1999, Barack Obama
was faced with a difficult vote in the Illinois
legislature — to support a bill that would let some juveniles be tried as
adults, a position that risked drawing fire from African-Americans, or to
oppose it, possibly undermining his image as a tough-on-crime moderate.
In the end, Mr. Obama chose neither to vote for nor against
the bill. He voted “present,” effectively sidestepping the issue, an option he
invoked nearly 130 times as a state senator.
Sometimes the “present’ votes were in line with instructions
from Democratic leaders or because he objected to provisions in bills that he
might otherwise support. At other times, Mr. Obama voted present on questions
that had overwhelming bipartisan support. In at least a few cases, the issue
was politically sensitive.
