The Southeastern Conference has 12 bowl-eligible football teams this season and expert Phil Steele released his most recent projections for those slots and one "open" bowl that a conference team could fill.
Here is a look. There are quite a few interesting matchups that Steele projects.
Heart of Dallas Bowl: Florida vs. Marshall (1 p.m., Dec. 26, Dallas, Texas)
Independence Bowl: South Carolina vs. North Carolina (4 p.m., Dec. 27, Shreveport, La.)
Liberty Bowl: LSU vs. West Virginia (2 p.m., Dec. 29, Memphis, Tenn.)
Texas Bowl: Texas vs. Texas A&M (9 p.m., Dec. 29, Houston, Texas)
