“Time’s a wastin.”

Yes! I also appreciate that just like the country song says. “Time’s a wastin.” And the sooner Les Miles hires a good defensive coordinator the better off LSU college football program will be. Somehow Les Miles over the years has a tendency to really disappoint the LSU football fan with bad decisions. That has cost the LSU football team the ability to be more efficient on the football field.

I have also learned over the years that management is just about everything in business, and sports. Because no matter how talented we are if we don't have the right manager we will not succeed as a team or business. So too is Les Miles in another moment at LSU where making the right choice can make or break the LSU 2015 football season.

Replacing John Chavis a huge decision for LSU coach Les Miles

By David Ching | ESPN.comBATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU has developed a particular identity in a decade under Les Miles, and for much of that time, John Chavis' defense was the leading reason why Miles' philosophy worked.

That's what makes Miles' impending selection of Chavis' successor so important

As LSU's defensive coordinator from 2009 through 2014, Chavis instilled a defensive mentality -- fast, aggressive, hard-nosed -- that allowed the Tigers to typically play a conservative brand of grind-it-out football on offense. For most of those six seasons, that approach was wildly successful and LSU's defense ranked among the nation's best.
