You have become civilized around savages.

Tinker

I understand you completely now into how you really do like law and order, calm, and stability, to further try and build on a better society with a working political system that just about works for everyone, meaning you and me. Your logic is of course correct and if the U.S. Government took this Oil price that has now become on the cheap side again. And to take this opportunity to tax the Oil another $1.00 dollar that does seem like to be a smart use of the U.S. Government services. And should benefit the American people roads, bridges, and infrastructure a great deal.
But I must tell you that I would not vote to do that because I am convenience that this U.S. Government is only using the American people for all that we are worth. And has built this country's Government into nothing but a rip off baby, and I will not give to them another penny much less a dollar. That if I would have my way I would send a real honest sheriff into the inter working of the American people U.S. Government in Washington DC. And start making every one pay back the American people money that they have been taking away from the American people as if it was theirs. And of course tried and convicted and put into jail.
Until the American people can clean out the bad in our country's Government trying to do something good is impossible. And only playing into the hands of the people who are running this U.S. Government now.
And frankly my friend I just don't have the stomach to hang around with people like them. And I think you should pick who you are trying to be friends with more carefully. You have become civilized around savages, and I will not willingly spend another penny much less another $1.00 dollar for the people you are honestly trying to help, and be a good friend too.

Raise the gas tax. A lot.

By Charles Krauthammer Opinion writer January 8 at 7:46 PM

For 32 years I’ve been advocating a major tax on petroleum. I’ve got as much chance this time around as did Don Quixote with windmills. But I shall tilt my lance once more.

The only time you can even think of proposing a gas tax increase is when oil prices are at rock bottom. When I last suggested the idea six years ago, oil was selling at $40 a barrel. It eventually rose back to $110. It’s now around $48. Correspondingly, the price at the pump has fallen in the last three months by more than a dollar to about $2.20 per gallon.
