Yes. LSU has established itself as the top program in the country in producing NFL caliber defensive backs. Yes. LSU had more production from its former wide receivers on Sundays in 2014 than the next two teams combined. Yes. LSU is starting to produce NFL caliber running backs at a high level.
But make no mistake about it. The success LSU has had on the field over the last 12 seasons starts up front on defense.
The Tigers have established themselves as one of the elite programs when it comes to sending defensive linemen to the NFL, behind names like Glenn Dorsey, Michael Brockers, Kyle Williams and Tyson Jackson. While the cupboard isn't exactly bare on the defensive line right now, the depth, lack of All-American caliber players and inconsistent performance during the 2014 season doesn't mirror what we've seen in recent history.

Wow! If LSU coaching staff does sign all of these great
looking lineman in 2016 recruiting, I am going to watch my health more closely.
Because I truly would love to see that LSU football team play a football game against
Alabama under the light in LSU Tiger Stadium for real.
