LSU Tiger Stadium all dressed in Blue for the brave policeman near you now.

Thomas Williams

The LSU fans love our police officers, and their uniform very much. So this picture of LSU Tiger Stadium all lit up in Blue looks very beautiful to me too. Go Tigers!!!

LSU went outside first and then went inside. Tiger Stadium's inside was awash in blue Wednesday night in support of police after three Baton Rouge policemen were slain Sunday.

The video boards and ribbons lit up the inside of the stadium two days after the outside lights glowed in the stadium archways.

LSU coach Les Miles spoke to Lousiana High School Coaches Association members about his support for the community and police department. BRPD officers Montrell Jackson and Matt Gerald, and East Baton Rouge Parish Sherrif's deputy Brad Garafola were shot to death in an attack that heightened tensions in the city.

Miles said he had encountered and remembered Jackson, whose uncle Fred Jackson is a former football assistant at Michigan.

"That was just in passing," he said of Montrell Jackson. "(He was) a guy who reminded me he was the nephew of Fred Jackson, who I coached with at Michigan. He was extremely kind, kind to my wife.
"We talked about what a kind guy, how sweet he was. He showed us around, helped us. We appreciated the kind heart of Montrell Jackson."
