Tinker Town: "The
2012 LSU football fans were looking for Tim Tebow, and fount silly
putty Zach Mettenberger instead. A QB that Georgia Mark Richt let go. No
wonder. Zach plays QB like a junior college guy with a lot of time to
burn, and keeps running the football like a lose piece of string, so he
does not get hurt. A Tebow opposite.
Jordon Jefferson could at lease run, Zach can't. Zach is hesitating just like Jefferson, but lack J.J. check off ability. It look like J.J. was in reality much more football savvy then Zach. Zach keep breaking up the offense rhythm, with his slow body language, and jerky stares back to the coaches side lines. I don't believe Zach has rhythm at all. J.J. could at lease dance down the football field running. Zach can't. Zach has a more talented passing arm. But after that ability. Nothing. LSU is still stuck without a efficient QB to run the offense. Just like the Super dome nightmare that Alabama exposed not so very long ago. Now where does the LSU tiger football fans go?"

The rout everyone expected never materialized. This wasn't an excoriation. For LSU, this was an escape.
The Tigers didn't play like the No. 2 team in America. It played conservatively. It played sloppily. And at times, it appeared to play scared.Read more...http://www.nola.com/

SEC blog talk: after week ( 4 )
So
far Alabama is the class because LSU is not there, Georgia, South
Carolina, look better on offense than LSU who still seems to be having
the same old QB trouble...God!!!
Arkansas went from Top 5 to 1-3 with losses to Rutgers and ULM.
This will be remembered as one of the greatest program collapses in college football history.
This will be remembered as one of the greatest program collapses in college football history.
It would be sad if Arkansas fans would show some humility.

What
success? SC is 6th in the SEC in total offense, 4th in passing, 9th in
rushing, 4th in total defense, 12 in pass defense and 3rd in rush
defense. Sounds pretty mediocre to me.
Georgia has all their players back for the Ga/SC game.

LSU ekes out a 12-10 win over Auburn despite sloppy play, mistakes aplenty on the Plains. | |||
So much for all that 20-point favorite talk. No. 2 LSU (4-0, 1-0) escaped the Plains with a narrow 12-10 victory over Auburn (1-3, 0-2) Saturday night, overcoming two turnovers and a number of War Eagle sacks to notch the team’s first victory in conference play. The visiting Tigers, who lacked momentum most of the night, had to eke out the win despite outgaining Auburn 352 yards to 183. Gene Chizik’s Tigers stayed in the game thanks in large part to LSU penalties and turnovers. Starting quarterback Zach Mettenberger lost two fumbles in The Opening 30 minutes, one coming deep inside the red zone and the other a result of a sack-and-strip by Auburn defensive end Corey Lemonier, who finished the game with two sacks and the forced fumble.
