The drama of college
football is very much a real mystery that can't help but get the
attention of people who truly like sports. College football in
particular is a thrill a minute. Where else can we see the struggles of
well trained athletes trying to better one another in fierce competition
in a college football stadium. The unnecessary penalty, and funny mistakes. The Exciting high spirits of the young college football players are so raw that even the best college football teams themselves are simply to unpredictable to know for sure what the final outcome will be.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- No. 2 Alabama really owns the state now.
AJ McCarron passed for four touchdowns and Eddie Lacy rushed for 131 yards and two scores to lead the Crimson Tide to a 49-0 beatdown of rival Auburn on Saturday in the most lopsided Iron Bowl in 64 years.
The Crimson Tide (10-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) clinched the Western Division title outright and a spot in the conference title game against No. 3 Georgia with the winner likely getting a national championship shot.
None of that will come as easily as this one. Auburn (3-9, 0-8) completed the worst season for any team within two years of winning an Associated Press national title in what might have been the last game for embattled coach Gene Chizik.
University President Jay Gogue has only said he'll evaluate the program at season's end. That end came in a painful way for the Tigers.
Chizik met Tide coach Nick Saban briefly at midfield, hugged McCarron, and walked off the field with cameras following his every move.
The biggest Iron Bowl margin was Alabama's 55-0 victory in 1948.
This one could have topped that but Saban played subs for much of the second half. The Tide lost a fumble inside Auburn's 10 and then ran out the final seconds after getting to the 5.
Alabama outgained the Tigers 483-163 and had 25 first downs to Auburn's seven.
Auburn hasn't scored an offensive touchdown in the last two meetings since Cam Newton & Co. completed the rivalry's largest comeback in the last visit to Bryant-Denny Stadium two years ago. This one supplied another milestone of sorts. Read more...http://scores.espn.go. com/ncf/recap?gameId=323290333

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Kenjon Barner
ran for 198 yards and two touchdowns despite leaving the game for a
time with an injury, and No. 5 Oregon defeated No. 16 Oregon State 48-24
in the Civil War on Saturday, keeping alive the Ducks' hopes for a spot
in the Pac-12 title game and even an outside chance at the national
championship.
De'Anthony Thomas, who helped pick up the slack while Barner was on the sidelines, ran for 122 yards and three scores for the Ducks (11-1, 8-1).

Georgia continues its roll right to Atlanta
November, 24, 2012
By
Edward Aschoff | ESPN.com
ATHENS, Ga. -- Judging by the combined three minutes and 54 seconds it took Georgia to score its first two touchdowns on Saturday, the Bulldogs were more than ready to get the day over with.
The Bulldogs might have been taking on rival Georgia Tech, but this team was beyond ready to send its weaker counterpart back to Atlanta early, as it gets ready for its own trip to the state capital next week.
"They were just a speed bump on our road," said senior safety Bacarri Rambo, who forced two fumbles and grabbed two turnovers Saturday. "We’re trying to get to Miami."
Players insisted they thought only of Georgia Tech this week -- their 42-10 drubbing of the Yellow Jackets proved that -- but everyone knows how important next week is. Now, the Bulldogs can devote all of their attention to Atlanta, as they play in what is essentially a semifinal for the Discover BSC National Championship game.
"We’ll enjoy this win for a couple of hours, but we have to get our minds back on our goal, and that’s to get to Miami, and Alabama is in our way," Rambo said. "We just have to get better and work on them.
"We haven’t reached our highest peak, but we’re playing some pretty good ball, and we’re going to get better." Read more...http://espn.go.com/ blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/ 72177/georgia-continues-its- roll-right-to-atlanta
