The drama is mounting along the bend of the Mississippi
river at Louisiana State University affectionately known as The Old War Skule,
beneath the old Oak, and Magnolias trees. That campus Hallowed Ground is all
abuzz over the suspension that Les Miles will be replace as the head college football
coach after Saturdays Night football game against Texas A&M.

Looks like those in charge are too focused on winning the press conference. This is exactly what I was afraid of.
How
much will all this hope and change cost?? Glad I'm not paying for most
of it. Bad timing on getting rid of Les in his buy out clause. Les will
be laughing all the way to the bank.

A net cost of $20 million to pay off Les and Jimbo's buyout, if he
comes. It''s monopoly money to these guys. It took me a while to believe
it because I can't imagine spending that much on this.

A fool and his money, good hunting Tiger Boosters. It should be fun to
watch and listen. I always thought the Mad Hatter was worth the price of
admission. Grass eating antics, time clock management, illegal
formation, delay of game ect.
What about Mullen at State? Offensive minded, knows the SEC West. Wouldn't LSU be a step up for him?

@pecan grove Jimbo has coached in the SEC before, six years at LSU and several at Auburn. He knows what he would be in for.

@TallCat78 Seems like the Chavis thing has been forgotten. LSU should rally and play well but I've said that the last three weeks also.

pretty pricey established SEC grade Def Coordinator will also have to
be found under all these scenarios. I do realize that the boosters may
not mind paying for that. Who are the candidates to join Jimbo in Baton
Rouge?

These are names I've heard and don't laugh: Will Muschamp and Jeremy
Pruitt. Both not happy despite being in their current jobs for 1 season.
We were also going to be fine without Chavis as I recall. We are talking about offensive coaches. What about the defense?

This is the WORST defense in 50 - 75 years!!! ONLY one game this
year, has this defense held an opponent UNDER 20 points!!!!!
Penalties has cost this team and Defense has been BAD. Hope for the

It's a test to see how strong the LSU brand is. If Fisher takes the
job, it says LSU can get who it wants. The boosters decided to wait any
longer is to prolong the suffering. LSU on paper looks good next year
but there are some major holes

week will be the most interesting in many a moon for Tiger fans. Fisher
or Bust? There's always a chance Fisher will turn down the offer, so
then what? I have to believe he's not the only candidate out there who
would be an upgrade from Miles.
I have no issues with Fisher's coaching style or his recruiting prowess. My only issue with him is he will do anything to win, so we would win, but at what cost? Fisher would have probably kept Ryan Perreloux (Sp? )on the team.

Not a good fit for LSU. The people making the decisions feel LSU is a
final destination job, maybe not Texas but close. After Fisher, the
strength of viable candidates falls a long way.
What
about Patterson at TCU? He runs a High Octane offense with RUNNING
& always has a top defense. I would rather LSU go after him than
anyone else out there. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

checks all the boxes for what LSU would want. There isn't another
candidate on the radar even close

So
it appears Frank Wilson's name was mentioned for both ULM and UCF. Next
coach should quickly do whatever they can to retain his services. We
can't afford to lose both Wilson and Raymond, especially with Haley
already gone.
@karralum Frank wants to be a head coach and this is probably a good time to explore.
